After the accident, “counting the cost” found renewed
meaning in our missionary venture. Airplanes lost a
little of the admiration I held for them. Time with
my wife and kids gained new importance. The prayers
of our supporters back home were never so
appreciated. The blessing of our teammates here was
never so obvious. We realized that this event had
probably changed us all. Read

Many folks have been asking us what our plans are. I
expect many of you are also wondering the same. The
simple answer is: we are headed back to Africa. Our
hearts are there, it seems. In coming home for an
extended period of time, we did consider the
possibility that God might redirect our life and
ministry. But the old, familiar “calling” still
sticks with us. Read

Hoping this letter finds you well. We are, somewhat
unexpectedly, in the United States right now. In case
you didn't already know that, this letter should fill
you in on some of the "why and where, and what next?"
Our family arrived in New Jersey on March 8th... but

It has been interesting to look back at ten years of
ministry and come out with a singular, tremendous
feeling of being blessed. One would gather that ten

And now we see the future a little differently than

September marks the beginning of AIM's On-Field Media

I would love your prayers and advice as I try to
support Mike in his flying ministry as well as his
media role, teach our children in school, and be the
encouraging, loving, peaceful and joyful keeper of
the home as I instill Godly values in our children
and their friends. Sound overachieving? Read

As familiar as this whole process is to us – the
preparing and packing, the goodbyes, and the long
flight “home” – we do not know what the next term
overseas holds for us. Going into it can be daunting,
or a wonderful adventure, depending on our point of
view at any given moment. Read

For a moment I sat physically suspended between them
all - between a chaotic world of profound need to
which we are called, and a world of peace and love in
the company of my family. And I realized how thankful
I was for every direction the Lord takes me from day
to day. My little airplane makes this big world
smaller for the work of missions Read

Renee and I wonder sometimes what it would be like to
switch roles. If she could spend her days as I do,
thrust into the chaos and challenge of missionary
work in the bush - and I could stand in her shoes as
a mother, teacher, and support to a battle-weary
spouse. Read
